When and where it all started…

joanprofile.jpgBorn July 10, 1963 to Fremont Bodine Hitchcock, Jr. and Joan Lucille Lundberg.  My father Fremont or ‘Peter’ as he was known, and my mother, Joan, were big socialites in San Francisco who, a year later, hosted the Republican National Convention for Barry Goldwater’s run for President.  Little did people know that my mother had been John F Kennedy’s mistress in the late 50s’ and early 60’s. Maybe my dad was making a statement.  I wonder what all those Republicans thought of me.  I forgot!  I was already drunk from my mom’s breast milk as she drank vodka and grapefruit juice when she was nursing me.  I probably slept like a baby.  I was a baby!  Those years were pretty foggy.  Here I go again!  I was in san Francisco… I was a child of privelege.  Announcements and articles in the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner from the likes of Frances Moffatt and other society writers were written.  My Protestant Christening was another big society to-do.  I found out later that Sandy Koufax, a close friend of my father’s, had attended.  To have the greatest Jewish athlete in history at my Christening is one of the greatest things I could ever think of.  Koufax will always be one of the best pitchers in Baseball history.  As a Giants fan I can’t get to far off track praising A Dodger.  Koufax was amazing.
